Nature Walk » Viceroy (Limenitis-archippus)

This butterfly mimics the Monarch for protection. Monarch butterflies eat milkweed plants as caterpillars, which makes them poisonous and they taste bad. The Viceroy looks so much like it that predators leave it alone.
